We deliver high-performance outcomes through innovative construction and engineering solutions.

HISTORY

Contexx was formed in 2006 to service a niche in the construction industry. Since inception, we have established ourselves as one of the most dynamic, forward-thinking companies in the industry, with a portfolio that has an estimated construction value of more than $1 billion. This is reflected in our annual turnover – which, for 2007/2008, was in excess of $220 million.

Our associated business, Contexx Engineering, was founded in 2007 to provide medium-to-large scale engineering solutions and has since enjoyed strong, consistent growth.

Approach

We believe that success stems from integrity – a quality that forms the basis of everything Contexx does. It is an approach that recognises the importance of building strong relationships through collaboration, flexibility, transparency and, above all, continuity. Moreover, it is one that fosters genuine, mutual respect.

We also see value in maintaining a select portfolio through managed growth. This enables our principal directors to remain very hands-on and invariably allows us to provide industry-leading professionals on any given project.

Leadership

Proven Leaders

Leadership is the heart of our collective experience. Namely that of our founding, principal directors, Noel Henderson and Simon Gray.

Both respected figures in the Australian construction industry, Noel and Simon have a working relationship that spans more than two decades. Together, they bring more than 50 years' management experience to Contexx.

Dynamic people and a balanced, progressive work environment lie at the heart of our culture.

Working LIfe

Culture consists of what we observe and what is hidden; behaviour, attitudes, values and beliefs. Over time, culture becomes ‘invisible’ and ‘second nature’ and this is what guides our people in actions and decision making.

Contexx is committed to provide professional development with ongoing training, leadership and growth while providing industry-leading safety practices. We employ and retain the best people; our portfolio has the potential to grow, enabling our people a unique opportunity to develop on projects that are usually held by larger, multinational construction firms.

Our values and beliefs are led by example by our people. It is evident from our ongoing good working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

Building Relationships

Developing ongoing relationships with select clients and subcontractors is what moulds our approach. This allows us to form a profound understanding of our clients’ needs and in turn, maximise efficiency and project potential, while minimising risk.

Negotiating contracts enables us to shape industry-leading project teams to client specific requirements. It is vital that Contexx collaborates from the beginning to succeed and deliver high-performance outcomes ahead of schedule.

Community

Community Engagement

Contexx values the involvement of employees; our people provide input, support and participate in the community to assist not-for-profit organisations.

Contexx employees have the opportunity to volunteer with the internal community service team; open to support a choice of different causes and activities with a range of initiatives.
An annual community services project is completed by the Contexx team with the combined support of subcontractors, consultants and suppliers; effectively making a difference to facilities, buildings and land over a 1 to 3 weekend period.

Other initiatives include the monthly soup kitchen, annual Christmas drive, Movember, CEO Sleep Out, Red Cross blood bank donations and the footpath library.

Tiara Apartment Site Manager David shares his story

Our comprehensive graduate program offers both graduates and undergraduates a unique opportunity.

Graduate Program

It is also one that is committed to attracting and retaining the very best talent, as well as providing industry-leading safety practices and a sound platform for professional development.

Where a select portfolio could be perceived as limiting, we see potential for unprecedented growth. Our people have a unique opportunity to grow within a small, privately owned business, while working on projects traditionally undertaken by larger, multinational construction firms.

Real Experience

Developing ongoing relationships with select clients and subcontractors underlies our approach. This allows us to form a deep understanding of our clients\' needs and, in turn, maximise efficiency and project potential, while minimising risk.

Negotiating contracts also permits us to tailor industry-leading project teams to a client's specific requirements. Moreover, we believe that working together from the outset is the key to success. The result is a carefully articulated process that delivers high-performance outcomes ahead of schedule.

2014 Program

Our comprehensive graduate program offers both graduates and undergraduates a unique opportunity.
